This is a touchy subject for many people. Sometimes it is important to reduce inflammation so you can perform some exercises to get you to where your body is healing itself and not having to fight against the pain and inflammation.
If you’re taking pain meds constantly and on a daily basis you need to take another look at what’s going on. You need to look at what else could be causing this inflammation in your body… A lot of the time it is food that is causing inflammation.
It may be time to check your diet, there are many foods that people do not even realize they are getting inflammation from. We’ve seen many patients improve their function and almost magically decrease their pain by simply going through an elimination diet and finding out what is causing the problem. For instance, we had a patient who had been dealing with hip pain and limping quite a bit. Then one day he could not bear weight through his hip and was contemplating a hip replacement. Well, lucky for him we wanted to go through all noninvasive approaches first. He was walking within a week by simply reducing his carbohydrate intake.
